Supporting the Ditton Minors U6 Team

We’re really pleased to be sponsoring the Ditton Minors U6 football team. The young team is just starting out in the beautiful game and is full of enthusiasm and excitement.

It’s always special to see children and young people get involved in sport and other activities that support their development, so helping them to start a hobby (or you never know, their future career), is great!

Getting into sports or team activities at an early age is a really good way to make friends, learn new skills and get fit. So, businesses or organisations like Waterloo can really help to make a big difference in people’s developments. It’s why we provide support to teams like Ditton Minors, and East Malling Reserves, another local team.

Since Waterloo started sponsoring the Ditton Minors a few weeks ago, they have taken part in a tournament. They played sensationally but unfortunately, they ran out of steam, just short of the final. It was great to see the Waterloo logo on the front of the team’s strip for the first time.

Seeing the smiles on the faces of the players is what sponsoring local teams is all about. The support we have provided has helped them to buy the team’s new kit, which they wore for the first time at the tournament.

It was actually the team’s third tournament since forming and so far, they have really impressed. It’s the second time they have reached the semi-finals of a tournament, and they reached the quarter-finals in the other tournament they took part in. This is a really promising start as a team, we imagine it’s only a matter of a time before they reach a final and win a tournament.

The team will transition into the U7’s once the new season gets under way in September and our logo will be on their kits throughout the season.

Sponsoring teams like Ditton Minors is a good way for us to get involved with what’s going on in and around our home town.

We look forward to seeing how the Ditton Minors get on next season and how they progress with their playing careers.
