Waterloo are pleased to confirm the successful results from a range of tests carried out on their high-output made to measure chilled beam. This high-output beam with an overall length of 3.6m integrates one T5 luminaire in each section and is designed for easy connection on site.

Waterloo commissioned BSRIA (Building Services Research Information Association), the well known and respected test, instrumentation, research and consultancy organisation providing specialist services in construction and building services to carry out a full range of tests in their DIN approved facilities. BSRIA is one of the most respected references in the building industry in the UK, playing a similar role as the CETIAT (Centre Technique des Industries Aérauliques et Thermiques) in France.

The tests carried out at BSRIA demonstrated that the beam produced a performance output ranging from 1600 Watts up to 2500 Watts of cooling using the same nozzle plate.

The highest output of 2500 Watts was obtained with a primary air volume of 200 m³/h and to ensure there were no resultant noise problems further tests were successfully carried out in an acoustic chamber.
